On July 7, Police found the body of Rajkumar Gurung lying in the bushes near District Police Office Chitwan. According to the District Police Office Chitwan, Gurung was beaten to death on July 3 in the open field near Maiyadevi campus after he did not return the rented rickshaw. He died on the same day at 10:30 p:m at the open ground field.
According to District Police Office Spokesperson DSP Surya Bahadur Thapa, Kamal Gandharva with his wife Laxmi Magar, brother-in-law Amber Bahadur Thing, Prakash B.K, Sagar Oli and a 13-year-old minor(whose name is not disclosed) were involved in the beating Rajkumar Gurung. After the identification of the body on July 7, the deceased ‘s brother Santaraja Gurung lodged an FIR at the District Police Office, Chitwan. Sagar Oli age 24, Prakash B.K age 31, Kamal Gandharva age 34 and Amber Bahadur Thing age 30 are in custody for trial. Sushil Shrestha was released on ordinary terms and the minor was sent to his parents. Lakshmi Magar with her mother-in-law Shita Gandharva absconded. With the court orders, the police are still searching for them.
