A patrol team posted from Badharwa police station arrested Shyam Babu Roy of Rautahat, Yemunamai Rural Municipality Ward-5 on August 3 on the charge of raping a woman. 4 people, including Roy, attempted to rape the woman taking her to a hut nearby the rural municipality office at Saruatha, luring her with 500 rupees. 3 others managed to escape taking advantage of the darkness.

Roy and the woman have been taken to the District Police Office, Rautahat for further investigation and police are searching for the absconding accused.
