According to Police, more than half a dozen persons were injured when the dispute for a piece of land in Mahagadhimai Municipality ward 2, Bariyarpur escalated. Raghunath Barai accused Radhekishun Raut Barai of encroaching his land while the latter was digging the foundation to build a house. The two parties clashed after Raghunath obstructed Radhekishun from digging the foundation and halted the construction work. Among the injured were Banod Chaurasia, Lal Babu Chaurasia, Umesh Chaurasia, Arjun Chaurasia, Siyaram Kushwaha, Harindra Kushwaha from Radhekishun’s side. And from the other side Brahmadev Chaurasia, Raghunath Chaurasia, Jagarnath Chaurasia, Ramdev Chaurasia were injured. According to locals, about 100 people gathered on both sides, and some people were severely injured in the clash. Even now the situation in Mahagadhimai Municipality ward 2, Bariyarpur is still tense.
According to Raj Kumar Yadav the Assistant Inspector in Bardiyapur, the Police are mobilized in the area to prevent further clashes and the situation is under control. The injured are undergoing treatment in the local health facilities.
