Local youths, 24-year-old Mohan Kunwar and 21-year-old Birendra Kunwar assaulted and abused 25-year-old Anami Janaki Bhatta, a health worker working in Nakali Nagar Health Center under Nwadeu Health Post of Baitadi, Purchaudi Municipality Ward-3. The duo allegedly assaulted Bhatta for maltreatment of an elderly patient. 

Bhatta has sustained injuries in the mouth, chest, and head and broken her finger from the assault. Her treatment is underway in Haat Health Post.

Bhatta has lodged a complaint at the Police Post, Purghat for necessary action against the youths. The youths also manhandled Office Assistant Bimala Kunwar and tore official documents of the health post,

Police are searching for absconding youths and further investigation is underway.
