Siraha/May 5 The District Court, on May 4, has sent Bishnu Bahadur Lama, 56, of Bishnupurkatti VDC-4 in custody for investigation on charge of rape. Lama is accused of raping a mentally challenged 50-year-old woman while he had gone to house of his niece in Bishnupurkatti on April 9. A complaint was filed against him the next day. DSP Gyanendra Prasad Phunyal of the Area Police Office Lahan said that the accused was arrested on April 10 and necessary action was initiated against him. Medical check-up of the victim was conducted in District Hospital Siraha on April 10, DSP Phunyal said.
