Sunsari, Balatkaarka aaropit purvapakshka laagi thunama. Sunsari/May 9 District Court of Sunsari has remanded an 18-year-old Surendra Rai of Mainamaini VDC-4, Udaypur on May 5. Rai was arrested on charge of raping a 14-year-old girl. A single bench of district judge Parashuram Bhattarai gave his verdict regarding the case. The victim had lodged a complaint at Area Police Office of Dharan on April 13 accusing him of raping her at Subedi Hotel in Dharan on April 3. The complaint further stated that the accused took the girl hostage and raped her for five days before taking her to Kathmandu. After the complaint, the accused was taken into custody for the further investigation. The case for hostage taking and rape will be filed against him said, DSP Sanjaya Singh Thapa.
