42-year-old Bikash Mandal, of Dharan Sub-Metropolis-16 was arrested on the charge of raping a 13-year-old girl on October 8 on the basis of complaint lodged by the victim’s side at the Area Police Office, Dharan on October 7. Then, the girl was examined at the VP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.

According to SP, at the District Police Office, the accused was arrested while hiding in a relative's house immediately after the complaint was lodged.
