Jhapa, had myadka karan balatkaar muddha darta nahunda pidit paksh aakroshit. Jhapa/May 22 Family of rape victims are outraged after the district government attorney returned a rape case of two girls allegedly by their father stating that statute of limitation had exceeded. Police had taken the accused to extend his remand at the district court on May 22. Two girls – 12 year and 15 year old – were raped by their father when their mother was out on April 12. The victims had told their mother about the incident only at the end of that month. The accused absconded after the family learnt about the incident. Area Police Office Birtamod had arrested the accused after the victims reported the incident to police with help from INSEC on May 20. The accused was handed to APO Damak which had begun investigation into the incident. The accused, who was taken at the District Court to extend his remand, was brought back to the APO Damak after District government attorney Ramesh Subedi said that a rape case could not be registered as the 35-day statute of limitation in a rape case had exceeded. According to Subedi, the case could not be taken to the court to extend the remand of the accused as a complaint was filed only on May 22 and the incident had taken place on April 11 and 12. He added that the victim's party was advised to file the case directly in court on charge of incest rape. Arj
