Saptari District Police Office registered a complaint of rape against 35-year-old Azad Mansuri of Hanumannagar Kankalani Municipality-13 on October 21. According to the victim, the accused raped a 19-year-old woman on August 3 and she lodged a complaint against the accused at the Area Police Office, Kalyanpur on October 12. 

Police registered the complaint at the District Police Office investigating the incident. The victim was examined at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital, Rajbiraj on October 13. The accused is absconding.
