Police registered a complaint against 60-year-old Tek Bahadur Gurung, of Omsatiya Rural Municipality-1 on October 23 for raping a 31-year-old woman with intellectual disability. The victim lodged a complaint at the District Police Office, Rupandehi on October 23 with the help of her parents alleging that she was raped on August 10 and threatened to not to talk about the incident to anyone.
According to DSP Khadak Bahadur Khatri of the District Police Office, Rupandehi, search is on for the accused as he is absconding. The victim has been examined at Bhim Hospital, Bhairahawa.
