27-year-old Indian citizen Mukesh Mukhiya from Sitamari tried to kill a 10-year-old girl of Parsa Rural Municipality-5 by attacking her with a sickle with after she resisted the rape in Sarlahi on October 30.  

The girl was attacked on her thumb, mouth and the neck and while she screamed for help she was rescued by a young man who was coming the same way on a motorcycle. She got 7 stitches on her neck and 3 on her thumb

According to ward president Yadav, Mukesh was drunk. Locals arrested Mukhiya and handed him over to the police. An investigation is started into the crime against the chief.
