Around 25 people from 21-party alliance gathered at Maitighar Mandala and protested on November 4 against the visit of Indian Army Chief Manoj Mukunda Narwane to Nepal alleging it as an insult to Nepal's sovereignty as he spoke against sovereignty while unraveling new map of Nepal. Narwane during the eruption of border dispute remarked that Nepal raised the issue of Lipulek at the behest of someone, pointing China.
They chanted slogans such as "Indian Army should leave Kalapani, repeal unequal treaties, stop interfering in Nepal, and go back". Police officers from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Singha Durbar and others reached the protest site but no one is arrested yet.
Indian Army Chief Narwane arrived in Kathmandu on Wednesday for a three-day visit at the formal invitation of Chief of Army Staff Maharthi Purnachandra Thapa.
