Secondary school in Bharatpur padlocked by its alumni

The alumni of Shree Sitaram Sanskrit Secondary School at Devghat in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1 padlocked the school on November 24 over the controversy on the selection of teachers and forcing the principal Milan Ghimire to resign. 

A dispute arose in the school while selecting a teacher to fill the vacancy in the English subject Out of three applicants, the school's teacher selection committee decided on October 7 to select Ram Bahadur Bishwakarma, a teacher who wanted to be transferred from Nawalpur. However, two other members of the school management committee were against the decision in order to hire their own people, and they even forced the school's principal to resign.

Meanwhile, Dadhiram Sapkota, chairperson of the school management committee said that the teacher Ram Bahadur was being brought in for the benefit of the school and the resignation of the principal was demanded after reaching the five-year term.
