Police have arrested 28-year-old Chandan Mandal Khatbe aka ‘Saroj’ of Siraha Municipality-12, Siraha, on December 15, on charge of raping a 27-year-old woman. According to DSP Shaligram Sharma Poudel of District Police Office, Siraha, they arrested the accused from his house.

Chandan had been absconding after raping a 27-year-old girl on  April 6, 2020.  The victim woman filed a complaint at District Police Office, Siraha, on June 25, 2020. Health checkup of the victim was conducted at District Hospital, Siraha, on June 25.
