Kathmandu, December 25

The Dahal-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party has staged a mass demonstration in Kathmandu against the government’s decision to the dissolution of the House of Representatives.

Top leaders of the party including two chairmen Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal, senior leaders Jhala Nath Khanal and Narayan Kaji Shrestha, the party’s central committee members, and members of the dissolved House among others gathered at Maitighar Mandala on Friday morning for the demonstration.

Members of the dissolved House and other protestors fixed a placard that reads “We are here” on their chest so as to assert their argument. They also chanted slogans claiming the dissolution was unconstitutional.
