Kathmandu/June 11 An unidentified man has assaulted female Constituent Assembly (CA) lawmaker Rita Shahi outside three number gate of the CA building in New Baneshwor on June 11. Lawmaker Shahi of Humla was elected under the Proportional Representation category from the Nepali Congress in the CA. The female lawmakers drew the attention of CA Chairperson Subas Chandra Nembang and Home Minister Bam Dev Gautam demanding security for female lawmakers after the incident. Shahi said that Minister Gautam expressed commitment for the security of female lawmakers. Shahi said that the man could not be identified as he ran away as soon as he assaulted her when she retaliated his attempt to touch her body.
