Khotang/June 12 Padam Bahadur Sarki, 60, of Bopung VDC-2 has been remanded in prison branch Diktel on June 12 by the District Court Khotang on charge of raping a 14-year-old mentally challenged girl. Family of the victim had filed a complaint at the Area Police Office Chisapani on May 19 saying that the accused raped the girl at various time since January 2014 and the last time he raped her was on May 13, 2014. Police had arrested him the next day. SI Yadav Gautam of the case department at the District Police Office Diktel said that the accused has been remanded in prison for investigation following order of Judge Ishwari Gautam of the district court. Medical check-up of the victim was conducted at the District Health Office Diktel on May 21.
