Banke Police launched a safety pin campaign by deploying police in plain clothes in public places and on buses to control the incidents of violence and sexual harassment against women in public places and public transport. Meanwhile, within two days police arrested 11 people on January 9 on the charge of eve-teasing and indecent behaviour with women and adolescent girls.
