Police have arrested Yam Prasad Bhattarai, 22, of Kispang Rural Municipality-6 from Dhunche on January 9 on the charge of raping a six-year-old girl.

According to DSP Indra Subedi, the victim’s mother had lodged a complaint against Bhattarai at the District Police Office on January 9, alleging that the girl was raped by the accused. 

The girl has been examined at Dhunche Hospital on January 9. According to the District Police Office, a case has been registered against the accused Bhattarai and an investigation is underway into the incident.
