Kaski/June 16 The campus chief and other six staffs of Western Engineering Campus at Pokhara sub metropolis-16 has been released on June 15 with the initiation of rights activists. They were locked up inside the campus by students of Nepal Students Union accusing the campus chief Narayan Prasad Gautam, assistant campus chief Chabindra Thapa, Narad Rai and staffs Punya Prasad Sharma, Dhana Bahadur Thapa, Harikala Subedi of recommending action against the students affiliated to NSU for no reason. They were all released later with the initiation of protection officer of NHRC Jyoti Ghimire, senior human rights activists Tek Nath Baral and documentation officer of INSEC western regional office Tanka Khanal. Their release followed after the interaction and discussion with NSU representatives on June 15. A probe committee had recommended action against the students for eve-teasing female students of the campus. A five member investigation committee was formed with the coordination of Gopal Kafle, administrative officer of the campus on June 5.
