15 Children Rescued

Kaski, bharat tarf jana lageko 15 jana baal balika ko uddhar. Kaski/July 3 Police has rescued 15 children heading towards Uttar Pradesh of India on July 2. The children, between 4 to 16 years old were leaving for India without informing their parents. Dandakonak police post rescued the children at around 10.30 pm and sent them to the DPO. According to coordinator of CWIN Prem Songmen, the children have been sent to the CWIN Pokhara for protection. The children said that they were heading to India after one Jaya Bahadur Gurng, calling himself the hostel in-charge of Assembly of God organization in Uttar Pradesh, called them saying that they would receive education free of cost there. SP Basant Kumar Lama of the DPO said that the children were rescued in suspicion of being trafficked to India. He added that investigation was ongoing into the incident. Child protection office at district child welfare committee Bharat Baral said that the children would be handed over to their parents on July 4.
