Police arrested Siraha's businessman Mahesh Sah (Kokba) on the charge of a rape case. Accused Sah was arrested on June 24 after the victim lodged a complaint.

Mahesh Sah has been operating rice mills in Golbazar and Dhangadhimai municipalities. He came from a simple family and became rich in a short time. Leaders, MPs, ministers, and businessmen have been pressuring the Siraha police not to arrest him. According to the victim's family, the accused had pressured the victim to change her statement.
