Chitwan/ August 5 District Court of Chitwan has remanded Bel Bahadur Giri, 29, of Kavre in custody on August 4 on charge of raping a 19-year-old girl. The accused was working at police post of Kabilash VDC-1. A single bench of District Court judge Binod Mohan Acharya gave his verdict on this case. The victim said that the accused raped her near the vegetable field at Kabilash VDC-1 after luring her on July 6. The complaint also states that the victim is intellectually impaired. A complaint against the accused was lodged at district police office on July 8. On July 9, the victim underwent a health checkup at Bharatpur hospital. The accused was arrested on the same day by a local police and handed over to the district police office.
