Bara/August 6 Sohan Mahato Kushwaha, 25, of Prasauna VDC has attempted to murder his wife Rambha Devi Kushwaha, 23 and 7 months old son by attacking them with Khukuri on August 5. The victims sustained throat, temple and arm injuries in the attack, said DSP Rabindra Regmi. Police have arrested the accused for further investigation according to DSP Regmi. The accused was taken under control on the same day with the help of the locals. Both the injured are admitted to the National Medical College at Birgunj after they could not be treated at Kalaiya hospital. The victims were attacked while they were alone at home, said Birendra Mahato, brother of the accused. They were rescued after the locals heard them scream.
