The meeting of legislature-parliament on August 6 has unanimously passed the "Sexual Harassment at Workplace (Control) Bill, 2014". Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare Neelam KC has tabled the bill. Minister KC has replied to the questions raised by the CA members regarding the bill. Saying that the bill was brought to control sexual abuse, she said that efforts are being made to include materials in the syllabus to end violence against women. Likewise, the meeting also unanimously passed the motion to send bill on amending Some Nepal Acts to uphold gender equality and end violence against women and bill on amending and repealing Some Nepal Acts to the concerned committee for Statutory discussion.
