Dailekh/August 7 Maoist cadres Jay Bahadur Shahi and Harilal Pun have been released from prison on August 8 following the order issued by the Supreme Court of Nepal a day earlier. Jailor Jit Bahadur Thapa said that they were released after the SC acquitted them saying the evidence presented against them were not enough to incriminate them. Jay Bahadur is the member of CPN-M Bheri Karnali State Committee and Harila is district committee member. Journalist Thapa’s five accused killers were being held in jail following the order of the District Court Dailekh on February 11, 2013. The accused had moved Appellate Court Surkhet asking for annulling the District Court but it upheld the district court judgment leading them to approach Supreme Court on January 12. Y
