Shiva Sharada English Boarding School of Janakpurdham sub-metropolitan-1, Pulchowk was torched by an unidentified group on November 11. According to Sujita Mishra, school operator, an unidentified group broke into the school and torched from which tentatively ten lakhs worth of physical property was damaged. According to DSP Jitendra Kumar Basnet of the District Police Office, Dhanusha, the fire destroyed three drawers, two sofas, important documents of the school, television, two printers, a chair and a table.
According to the police, the group torched the school building by breaking the lock of the main entrance of the school, the gate of the office and the door of the office when no one was inside. The fire in the administrative room of the school has destroyed all the records of the school since its inception. School principal Sujit Mishra said that a complaint has been lodged at the District Police Office, Dhanusha on November 12 to find the culprits and take strict action against them.
