Nabin Rai, 20, of Khartamchha VDC-3 has filed a complaint against a gang of five at District Police Office on August 11 accusing them of threatening him with sexual assault against his 18-year-old sister. The accused are Motiraj Rai, 20, Anil Rai, 20 of the same place and Krishna Rai, 23, Saudhan Rai, 30, and Motidhan Rai, 24, of Banspani VDC-8. According to Nabin, the guys issued the threat on August 6. When he tackled them regarding the threat on August 9, he was beaten up, the complaint further says. Medical checkup of his facial and other injuries, which he claimed were inflicted by them during the assault, was conducted on August 10. In his police report, Nabin said that the guys had told him that his sister could be assaulted any time. DSP Govinda Kumar Shah of District Police Office, Khotang said that a team had been deploy to arrest the accused after the complaint was registered.
