Birendra BK, 38, of Sutaiya in Naubasta VDC-7 has lodged a complaint at area police office of Kohalpur on August 12 against three woman of the same place. He has accused them of beating his wife Chandra Kumari BK, 32, on charge of being witch. The complaint states that the accused beating her with a wooden stick. Though similar incident was settled three times in past at area police office, this time she was beaten with the intention to kill by the accused, the complaint states. It also demands for the medical expenses to the victim and severe action against the perpetrators involved in the incident. On August 7, the victim was beaten by her neighbors Tara Kami, 56, Sashi Kami, 28, and Laxmi Kumari BK, 22, on charge of being witch. However, the accused have denied the allegation. The area police office said that the accused have been remanded for further investigation. The victim is undergoing medical treatment at Nepalgunj Medical College in Kohalpur.
