Narasingh Sherchan, a 68-year-old man of Thasang rural municipality-3, Lete Kalopani, lodged the complaint against Romi Gauchan, President and former Minister of Nepali Congress Mustang on December 26, on the charge of threatening him. According to Netra Prasad Sharma, Chief District Officer at the District Administration Office, Mustang, the accused has lodged a complaint at the District Administration Office, Mustang, demanding protection of his and other citizen's life and property since Romi has been violent towards him and the villagers.
According to the victim, the accused tried to beat his party cadres by accusing them of spreading chaos in the village by infiltrating the UML at a meeting in the village. The victim further claims that even though, he saved himself with self control at the moment, the threat in his life still remains. The victim further added that the accused threatened the principal of Dhaulagiri Technical school to act in his favor by calling him in Kalapani Guesthouse on October 6.
