The villagers, supporting his opponent Parbati Devi Yadav and her son Ramesh, beat up Bhagwat with fuel wood and sticks, District Police Office Sunsari informed adding he died while being taken to the District Hospital. Bhagwat’s younger brother, Hiralal has sustained head injuries. Police have arrested Bikas Yadav, 22, Mina Devi Yadav, 35, Bhutani Devi Yadav, 35, Pappu Yadav, 18, Prakash Yadav, 17, and Parbati Yadav from in the village, DSP Sudeep Rajbhandari said. The accused had returned from the court after recording their statement on August 15 after Bhagtwat filed the case. S
