KATHMANDU: A Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) team nabbed two officials of the National Investigation Department (NID) while taking bribe, on Tuesday. Investigation‬ Officer Rajan Thapa Magar and Senior Investigating Assistant Bishwomber Aryal were caught red-handed by the special team of CIAA from Ghale Daiko Sekuwa Corner, in front of the Tribhuwan International Airport, while taking Rs. 75,000 bribe from two ‪persons desiring to work in New Zealand, the CIAA said in a press statement today. The duo had told the workers that it is difficult to acquire work permit for New Zealand from the Labour Department, said CIAA. The officials had assured them that they would help them cross the immigration without the necessary documents, if paid the kickback. CIAA has started an investigation into the case.
