CPN-UML ward member candidate attacked with iron rod in Dhanusha by an unidentified group

A group of unidentified men has attacked Hare Ram Mandal a CPN-UML candidate for member of ward 1 of Kamala Municipality in Dhanusha. Mandal who sustained serious injury after being attacked with iron rod by the group at his home on the night of May 4 was sent to provincial hospital for treatment. Dhanusha police spokesperson DSP Pradip Bahadur Chhetri stated that police are investigating the incident though no they are yet to receive a formal complaint on the incident.
