Police arrested 28-year-old Suvash Pandey, a local cadre of Nepali Congress on May 6, on the charge of torching a vehicle used for electoral campaigns by Khem Prasad Gautam, a mayoral candidate from the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party in Belabari municipality-2 of Morang. According to the CCTV footage, the accused set fire on the vehicle around 2 AM in the morning on May 6. The vehicle bearing plate number Ba 12 Cha 9384 was parked in the courtyard of the house of the victim.
