Police recovered a dead body of a woman and her son in Pokhara Srijana Chowk on June 1 under suspicious circumstances. According to the police, the woman was an Indian citizen who married a Nepali Man and was currently living in Pokhara. Police further added that because her husband was not home during the incidents, they could not make statement. Police alleged that the mother could have murdered the child and then committed suicide or they both could have been murdered.
