Kishori Sah, deputy mayor of Janakpur Dham sub-metropolitan was physically assaulted by a group of locals on June 19, who came to submit a memorandum demanding to vacant the land which was encroached in Janakpur Dham sub-metropolitan-23. A woman among the accused assaulted Sah by beating her with a slipper. 

The locals came to hand over a memorandum to the mayor demanding to stop the sale of 17 bighas and 15 katas of land given to Ramjan's bridegroom Bhagwan Kuti by local social workers and donors. After not seeing the Mayor, the locals handed over the memorandum to the deputy mayor.
