Nepal Student Union (NSU) affiliated with Nepali Congress staged a sit-in in Maitigharmandala of Kathmandu Metropolitan city-11 on July 15 demanding the resignation of Governer of Nepal Rashtra Bank, Mahaprasad Adhikari. The demonstrators alleged that Adhikari was a member of CPN-UML and they further added that the governor of Rashtra Bank can not be affiliated with any political party. Protestors warned of intensifying their agitation if the Governer refused to resign.
