Police arrested 20 year old Dipesh BK on August 9 on the charge of raping a 14 year old girl in Jhapa. According to the police, BK took the girl to Taplejung-Panchthar Hotel and Lodge at Arjundhara municipality-11, in Jhapa during the night of August 3 and raped the girl. The accused had kept the girl in his house by promising to marry her.

The police deployed from Area Police Office at Anarmani confiscated BK as soon as they were informed about the incident. The accused is a permanent resident of ward number 9 in Phungling municipality of Taplejung.
