The Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) has objected to the misbehavior on journalists Shivdayal Yadav, Secretary of the FNJ Siraha, and Vinay Yadav, Siraha Correspondent of Galaxy Folk, at the Siraha Customs Office in Madar. Manoj Banaita, president of the Federation of Journalists, Siraha, stated on October 19 and expressed his regret over the incident of abuse of journalists. Journalists Shivdayal and Vinay had reached the Siraha Customs Office in Madar on October 18 to gather news about reported incident of illegal smuggling trade in Siraha and corruption by customs officials. When they contacted the head of the customs office Ramraja Prashad Chaurasiya regarding the incident, Chaurasiya reportedly abused the two journalists and threatened to jail them.
