Saptari/September 15 Babita Kumari Yadav, 27, of Nargho VDC-8 has filed a case of divorce against her husband Shatrughan Yadav, 19, at District Court on September 14. She claimed that Shatrughan had demanded Rs 500,000 as dowry and tried to set her on fire after pour kerosene on her on September 2 in an inebriated state. Babita’s first marriage with Yogendra Yadav, 27, of Nargho VDC-9 ended on July 4 and she was declared married to Shatrughan on the same day. Yogendra’s father Rajdev had facilitated the marriage of Babita and his sister-in-law’s daughter Shatrudhan saying his son Yogendra had got married to another woman in Malaysia.
