Police arrested Sonal Tamang alias Puskal, a 21-year-old youth on November 15, on the charge of murdering Samjhana Pandey, a 20-year-old woman, and her 3-year-old daughter Kristina Khatiwada in Dupcheswor rural municipality-5 of Nuwakot. According to the police, the accused stabbed the victims with a sharp weapon in different parts of their bodies on November 14 night resulting in their death. The weapon the accused used to attack and his slippers were found in the incident site. Police arrested Tamang today morning while he was preparing to flee to Kathmandu. Police are further investigating the incident.
