Voters assaulted while expressing concerns to leaders during campaign in Dhanusha

Bisheshor Mahato, a local resident from ward no. 5 of Chhireshowrnath municipality of Dhanusha accused the cadres and supporters of CPN-UML of assaulting him during a household election campaign on November 15.
Mahato said, "The campaigning team of CPN-UML together with proportionate candidate Samuda Khatun came to my house to appeal for votes around 5 pm that day. My wife had shown frustration to the campaigning team mentioning that the leaders don't come back to the locality until next election after five years." He further added, "I also took my wife's side. Then, they immediately called more cadres and physically assaulted and threatened me."
Mahato blamed the local CPN-UML cadres Mahendra Yadav, Lalit Shah, Ex ward chairperson Ram Kishun Yadav and others for assaulting him. Meanwhile Ram Kishun Yadav mentioned that they went to Mahato's house after the husband and wife started scolding a female who was there to appeal for votes. Yadav also accepted that they pushed Mahato inside the house to control the dispute but haven't assaulted Mahato.
