Police arrested 48 year old Dipendra Kumar Yadav aka Dipu, and 42 year old Ajay Kumar Sah of Bariyarpatti rural municipality-1, Badhari in Siraha on the charge of murder of 32-year-old Ramshankar Yadav residing at Naragi of the same ward. Yadav's dead body was recovered by locals on the night of November 25 at Naragi Badhari road.
Police had initially suspected of road accident but the investigation later turned out to be a murder case resulting from political vendetta, said Siraha Police. The dead body of deceased was handed to his relatives after post mortem at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.
Dipendra, Ajaya and the deceased Ramshankar were friends. Ramshankar was the cadre of Nepali Congress whereas two others were involved with Maoists. They had friendly relations though they campaigned for different parties in the election. The candidate of HoR from Nepali Congress of Siraha-2, Chitralekha Yadav lost the election and she didn't get the votes as expected from Badahari and Naragi village.
According to brother of deceased, Dipendra called Ramshankar on Friday night to meet them. They took his brother to a wine shop on the border of Naragi village, murdered him and threw his dead body on the road. After the locals found the dead body on November 25, they went to inquire with Dipendra's house the other day. There they found Ramshankar's muffler infested in blood in Dipendra's under construction house.
Police have added the trial period for further investigation from Siraha district court. The relatives and family of deceased blamed the duo for Ramshankar's murder and stated the dispute related to election outcome as the cause .
