The cadres of Nepal Student Union (NSU) publicly humiliated campus chief of Sudurpaschimanchal College (SPA) in Dhangadi of Kailali by smearing black soot on his face in a dispute related to the student council election. Police have arrested two students accused of the incidents, but their names are yet to be made public. As per the police, the student group called the campus chief outside the classroom and abused him. 

NSU had padlocked the campus on March 23 due to dispute on the same matter. The college administration however, went forward with the electoral process to form the student council. The election committee declared the student wing of CPN-UML as victorious as other parties didn't register candidacy.
