The students of Padma Kanya Campus demonstrated against the attack on Sagun Kandel, Chairperson of Nepal Students Union (NSU) campus committee. Kandel was assaulted by other faction of NSU in a dispute related to proportionate representation in the campus's Free Students Union (FSU) committee from NSU. She was attacked by the group associated with immediate past chairperson of NSU, Laxmi Dahal. 

Sagun sustained injuries on the head and is undergoing treatment at the hospital. She was appointed as Vice-Chair of FSU from proportionate votes. The protesting students also unlocked the padlock at the college election office, and demanded the campus premise be made a peace zone.
