org SMS ALert: Surkhet, Two youths have been seriously injured after police head constable of Keshav Giri and constable Gagan Thapa Magar beat them at the Agrigaun police post on October 28. Those injured are Man Singh Thakuri and Shyam Singh Thakuri of Agrigaun VDC-8. The two had taken photographs of policemen who were consuming alcohol in police uniform on October 2. According to the victims, the policemen called them at the police post under the pretext of a scuffle between local youths at a local festival in Bajedichaur and beat them brutally. The injured have sustained bruises all over body after Giri beat them with lathi, pipe and split wood. Mobile phone sets and other belongings of the victim were kept by the police after the beating. Man Singh said that the policemen threatened them not to report the incident to anyone. "We have not gone anywhere for treatment out of fear," he said. Chief of District Police Office Surkhet Rajesh Kumar Lal Karn said that the incident would be investigated. He said that action would be taken if policemen were found guilty.
