Group Arrested on Charge of Terrorizing with Explosives

Morang, Bomb padkai aatanka machaune samuha giraftar. Police have arrested a group of people and made them public on November 10 on charge of detonating pressure cooker bomb near the Area Police Office of Pathari a week ago in the name of Limbuwan State Council. The arrestees were Man Bahadur Majhi, 32, Ashis Limbu, 17, of Bayarban VDC-8, Dorje Tamang, 18, Manoj BK, 18, Bishow BK, 16, Suman Limbu, 17, Kumar Limbu, 22, of Bayarban VDC-9, Kabi Raj Limbu, 24, of same VDC-8 and Chandra Limbu, 58, of Satasidhan VDC-3. Police initiated the investigation after the explosion of cooker bomb on November 5, however, there was no physical or human loss in the explosion. Police also confiscated 160 meters of wire used in the making of bombs, explosives, detonators, batteries, pamphlets and red flag with emblem, purported to be Limbuwan flag, SP Thule Rai of DPO said. The accused were arrested at various places of Jhapa and Morang districts by the police team commanded by DSP Raj Kumar Baidwar of Eastern Regional Police Office. They will be charged under Arms and Ammunition Act, SP Rai said.
