Bara, Parliamentary Special Committee has returned after conducting investigation into the death of Jaya Narayan Patel, 42, of Hariharpur VDC-7 in police firing. Another Shah Mohammad of Hariharupur VDC-4 was injured in the same incident when police opened firing at the locals demanding road expansion on October 12. The 7-member "Simraungadh Incident Investigation Parliamentary Special Committee" team led by its coordinator Atahar Kamal Musalman met with security personnel, representatives of political parties, witnesses, family of victims, agitating locals, rights activists, lawyers to take information on the incident. The government had formed the parliamentary committee on October 20 to come up with a report after investigating the incident within 15 days. However, the committee only arrived at the incident site on November 13 following disputes in the committee.
