Kathmandu, 30 jana nepali kaamdar haru malaysia ma bepatta. A total of 120 workers, including 30 Nepali migrant workers, are suspected of having been held captive by a Kuala Lumpur-based firm — Superman Globe Company — at an unknown location. There is no information on the whereabouts of the workers since November 12, according to a press release issued by Human Rights and Peace Society. “The workers had been demanding their rights and increment in facilities,” Uttam Pudasaini, general secretary of the society, quoted a Nepali worker of the company as saying. The worker had made a call to the society to inform about the situation. Pudasaini said they were trying to get the information verified from the Nepali Embassy in Malaysia and the concerned government agencies in Nepal. Two of the Nepali workers employed by the company had been out of contact even before November 12, according to the release. Malaysia is the largest destination country for Nepali migrant workers. When The Himalayan Times contacted the Nepali Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, an official said there was no report of any such incident. “We have not received any information about this issue,” said Hem Lal Bhattarai, deputy chief of mission in the embassy. He said they would inform the Nepali government in case any such thing had occurred.
