NepalMoniotr.org SMS alert: Nuwakot, khufia adhikari mrit fela. DEC 10 - An intelligence official of National Investigation Department (NID) has been found murdered at Nuwakot on Tuesday. Police found the body of NID official, Rita Gurung, 23, at Pahiro forest of Sunkhani-7, Sisneri. Gurung, a native of Thalachung-9 in Gorkha district, was currently working at Maharajgunj area as an assistant informant in Kathmandu Bureau office. Police have suspected the involvement of one Ajay Dhakal of Ganeshthan-4 in Nuwakot district in the murder. Dhakal and Gurung were allegedly in a relationship. It has been learnt that the couple arrived here in Nuwakot on a motorbike (Ba 64 Pa 223) through Chahare road in Tokha on Tuesday morning. Locals of the area said that Dhakal murdered Gurung after they had a heated argument at nearby Pahiro forest in Sisneri, Sunkhani while they were returning back to Kathmandu. Police recovered Gurung’s body with her shawl wrapped around her in a tree and blood oozing out of her mouth. The locals apprehended Dhakal, who was allegedly trying to flee after committing the crime, and informed the police. The police have arrested Dhakal along with his bike. DSP Arun Poudel of the area informed that Gurung was murdered following an argument between the couple while they were on an outing. He further said that an investigation is underway regarding the incident. The body of the slain NIB official has been sent to Kathmandu for postmortem.
